Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She's an American-Mexican actor. Also, she sings. In her early years she was subjected to racial taunts by a lot of Americans. In the 9th grade, she felt more secure after being applauded by her teachers when she sang at the school's audition. This not only increased confidence in herself, but it also changed her goals for the future. In 1992, she earned her master's degree from the city's Julliard School. At the age of 23 years old, she launched her career in Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Then, at 23 years old she made her film debut in You've got mail. In the Broadway version of the original show Spamalot, she played The Lady of The Lake and won both the Tony Award as well as the praise of critics. The recognition grew even more by appearing on Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. An accomplished singer She has also recorded one single and an extensive work.
