Lita Rossana Ford often referred to as Lita Ford is a British-born American singer-songwriter, guitarist and vocalist who was the lead guitarist of the all-girl rock band The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their rock-star sound and raucous lyrics allowed them to be noticed within the world of rock. Though the group didn't achieve much success in America, they were hugely popular overseas. It was particularly true in Japan. Ford's solo heavy metal career proved successful following the band breakup. She began to take voice lessons before releasing her debut album "Out to Blood" and then "Dancin" in the Edge. Ford was unable to achieve any success with either record and disappeared from the world of rock for about 10 years. In 1988, she returned to the scene with a smashing album called "Lita. Kiss Me Deadly was a huge hit as was the ballad Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. Unfortunately, the success of her career wasn't lasting and over the course of several years, she was absent. The album 'Black' was released in 1995, and then 'Wicked Wonderland 15 years afterwards she returned. Her most recent album "Time Capsule," released in the year 2016. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the Certified Guitar Legend Award.
